Nice area
Nice little public park just outside LaPlata. The small lake has Bass and Crappie for sure. I caught 5 Largemouth Bass and 1 Crappie in about 30 minutes this afternoon using a small white beetlespin. Worth giving a shot if you haven't been here and want to catch a few little ones for the fun of it. Nice paths around the lake as well.
It's gotten better. They fixed the dock and the walking paths are good. They need to open up an inner path just around the pond so you don't have to walk as far.
A small park with a pond. You can enjoy "catch and release" fishing. There is a covered picnic area as well as single tables. There is a maintained gravel road around the pond for walking. If you want a longer walk it actually connects with the next park which has more trails and ball parks. There is parking and bathrooms. There are also trash cans that are regularly emptied.
Great place for an outing, fishing, picnic, nature walk or run...connects to Laurel Springs for added miles and/or baseball, soccer, football, playground..m
